Human beings have proven themselves to be good at many different things, but at the same time, there is little we do better than growing on a consistent basis. This progressive approach, on our part, has already got the world to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a major member of the stated group. The reason why technology enjoys such an esteemed stature among people is, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which ushered us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look up close for a second, it will become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence, and consequentially, kickstarted a tech revolution. Of course, this revolution then went on to scale up the human experience through some outright unique avenues, but even after achieving such a monumental feat, technology will somehow continue to produce the right goods. The same has grown increasingly evident over the recent past, and assuming one new banking-themed development shakes out just like we envision, it will only make that trend bigger and better moving forward.

VSoft Corporation, a global leader in providing information and technology solutions for financial institutions, has officially confirmed that Mascoma Bank will implement its proprietary OnView Deposit product suite, as the latter looks to realize a smarter version of those core banking functions. According to certain reports, the development gives Mascoma an uninterrupted access of VSoft’s teller deposit and branch deposit capabilities, while simultaneously dispatching the means to leverage its ATM Deposit solutions as well. Talk about this access on a more granular level, the stated teller deposit solution, for instance, will allow the bank to seamlessly accept deposits at any of its 140 teller stations. The bank will also be able to facilitate the relevant operation behind that teller line in the branch bank office. More important than the location flexibility, though, the solution will enable Mascoma to reduce manual errors and image quality returns, save time, and achieve an optimal level of cost feasibility, notably doing so by automating the entire check processing function. We referred to a new automation setup, with some help from VSoft’s OnView Branch and ATM Deposit solutions, the New Hampshire-based bank will further automate the validation and balancing of check deposits and payments.

“Mascoma Bank takes pride in being ‘different by design,’ and this virtue drives many of our initiatives, from our high-impact community projects to our IT investments,” said Raphael Reznek, Chief Technology Officer of Mascoma Bank. “Our team recognized that VSoft’s technology would help us stay ahead of the curve and exceed our customers’ expectations for service that’s convenient and personal. By eliminating the manual tasks and tedious data entry associated with check processing, our team can spend more time helping customers. We look forward to a productive partnership together.”

Founded way back in 1899, Mascoma Bank’s rise to prominence becomes quite clear once you consider how it is, at the moment, a $2.6 billion mutual bank and a Certified B-Corporation. Given the organization’s commitment to constant progression, Mascoma today has a total of 27 branches and 2 loan offices throughout Northern New England, but this number is expected to grow significantly over time.

As for VSoft Corporation, founded in 1996, the company has realized a forte in offering platform-based services to the banking and financial services industry. Equipped to provide seamless, real-time, high-volume and high-performance transactions across multiple channels, VSoft’s solutions can be delivered in-house, or as an outsourced ASP or SaaS model to best meet the needs of every client.

“We are proud to add Mascoma Bank as our newest client and empower their team to continue building strong relationships with the customers in their local communities,” said Steve Thomas, Vice President of Sales at VSoft Corporation. “From the start, Mascoma Bank has remained dedicated to its customers and delivering the most convenient banking experience possible. We look forward to supporting the bank in this endeavor and fostering their future growth with VSoft’s technology.”
