There are umpteen things that a human being can do well, and yet there is little we do better than growing on a consistent basis. This progressive approach, on our part, has got the world to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a major member of the stated group. The reason why technology enjoys such an esteemed stature among people is, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which ushered us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look up close for a second, it will become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum presence, and consequentially, kickstarted a tech revolution. Of course, this revolution then went on to scale up the human experience through outright unique avenues, but even after achieving such a monumental feat, technology will somehow continue to produce the right goods. The same has turned more and more evident in recent times, and assuming one new fintech partnership shakes out just like we envision, it will only put that trend on a higher pedestal moving forward.

Shopify has officially teamed with the B2B startup, Melio, to launch a new bill pay tool called Shopify Bill Pay, which is purposed around helping U.S.-based merchant customers in managing their expenses and vendors from the same place they run their online business. According to certain reports, Shopify Bill Pay will let these merchants pay out their bills in the method they prefer, with options like credit card, bank or wire transfer available 24/7. The same set of flexibility can also be accessed when it’s time to receive payments. Considering the tool is notably conceived to work seamlessly alongside other Shopify products, such as Shopify Balance, the company’s  free financial business account, it will save the user an average of 16 hours a month that they would have usually spent on paying bills. Apart from it, Shopify Bill Pay also brings forth a service which is almost two times faster than other B2B expense solutions. Hold on, another incentive to use the stated solution is how it doesn’t demand any sort of subscription or sign-up fees. However, a nominal fee for credit card transactions might still be applicable.

“Shopify is committed to making commerce better for everyone, which is why we teamed up with Melio to power Shopify Bill Pay and free up our merchants’ time and resources, so they can focus on growing their business,” said Shruti Patel, Global Head of Merchant Services Partnerships and Monetization at Shopify.

The development in question provides an interesting follow-up to one research done by PYMNTS, a research that claimed businesses increasingly care about offering online payment methods, tools and channels in the B2B space that embedded finance can easily enable.

Talk about what made Melio an ideal partner to satisfy this need, though, founded in 2018, the company is known for empowering both small and mid-sized businesses to send and receive payments in a rather hassle-free manner, thus getting them to improve their cashflow, as well as their workflow. Melio’s excellence in what it does can be inferred from the fact that it is, at the moment, the fastest-growing B2B payment solutions across United States.

“We are excited to announce this unique partnership with Shopify that will simplify merchants’ bill-paying experience – providing them with more flexibility to help with their cash flow and saving them countless hours spent tracking invoices,” said Matan Bar, CEO and co-founder of Melio. “Shopify Bill Pay will bring a whole new experience to merchants who are overwhelmed by managing their cash flow and inventories, preparing their stock for busy seasons and keeping track of each vendor’s payment requirements.”
